Today we had our 20 week appointment which included the big anatomy ultrasound. This is where they do all of the measurments and check out all his organs. We got to see all four chambers of his heart, his kidneys, brain, spine and other bones. She showed us his lips (checking for signs of a cleft palate) and said they look perfect too. She said his belly looks like he is eating well & he is 13oz. now. She also showed us the blood flow from the umbilical cord. It's really incredible that they can see all of this with just a little bit of sound waves. She had a hard time because he was moving around so much. You'll see this in the photos. That is why they all look a little fuzzy. She was chasing him around the whole time. I think the apple I ate at lunch gave him a sugar rush or something. He was very active all afternoon.
Oh, I haven't told all of you this, but I started feeling him move during my 18th week. It was really amazing. I wasn't sure the first time it was him moving, but when I felt it again the next day, then again the next day I realized it was him. It is pretty awesome to feel that. We were laying in bed the other night & Michael was able to feel him for the first time. I could tell his bumps were harder so I told Michael to put his hand on my belly, then I put my hand on top of his & the bump was so strong we both felt it. It was a great moment. The look on Michael's face was pricless! I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and he is going to be such a great dad! We are just so excited and feel so, so blessed right now. Here are a few pictures from our ultrasound today.
Love,

Great update! And so exciting that you're both feeling him move! Michael will probably be touching your belly nonstop if he isn't already. Enjoy every little movement. Love y'all!
